Objectiv is a conversational analytics platform and a privacy-first alternative to traditional web analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Instead of navigating dashboards or writing SQL, you connect your own AI model to Objectiv's MCP server and ask questions like "Where do users drop off in the checkout funnel?" or "Which behavioral segments never convert?" — and get direct answers grounded in your real traffic data.

## How it works

1. **Automatic capture** — a ~2 KB script tag collects clicks, page navigation, SPA route changes, scroll depth, and session data. Zero configuration, no event schemas to design, no instrumentation to maintain. Events are batched every 3 seconds with a final flush via sendBeacon.
2. **Semantic annotation** — an AI reads raw event fingerprints (button labels, element IDs, URL patterns) and assigns human-readable names such as `ClickGetStartedFromPricing`, so any AI can reference actions by name.
3. **Plain-language querying** — connect Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or any MCP-compatible AI to the Objectiv MCP server and ask questions in natural language. Supports funnels, user paths, breakdowns by device or referrer, frequency, and retention cohorts.

## Privacy

Objectiv tracks behaviour, not people, following a strict no-PII principle.

- Captured: button labels and element IDs, page URLs with query parameters stripped, SPA route changes, scroll depth, tab visibility for engaged-time, and an anonymous tab-scoped session UUID.
- Never captured: input field values, passwords, form data, URL query parameters, or cross-session / cross-device identity. Elements marked `data-no-track` are ignored.
